... this was the BESTEST birthday outing EVAR!! My feet are now in an eternal phase of pain but the walking was worth all of it!!! My cousins and I went to the city and ate the most yummiest cream puffs ever from Puffy, then we had some tea from Easyway (with pearls of course), we then bought us some Pocky, Puka, Mochi, Waffles, GIANT Pocky and some Jap lemonade from Thai Kee. Walking for quite a while, we stopped by to Market City and to other cute little shops like Morning Glory where I bought my Domo phone cover and to Emporio (with four floors of SHOES) for my ate's formal. We then walked to Yoshinoya and had some delicious Japanese foods and were resting for a while because we were so full we were all going to just burst! We ususally didn't gone through this other side of Hyde Park because there was usually nothing to see there, but we saw tents and a congregation of people, so we decided to go check it out. On the way there there were heaps of Police cars going to the front of this hotel and we were just walking past, but then my cousin was all like "Hey guys! I see a body!" And so there we saw from afar a guy's body, unmoving on the road, while police were trying to hide the view with their cars, but since we were elivated we could clearly see it.... even some of the blood. We also passed by this guy who actually SAW how the guy died and was all stressed like "I saw him jump from the top of the building!!" And his gilfriend was trying to comfort him. So we were all kinda shocked and surprised and were saying "Lucky we rested at Yoshinoya for a while, otherwise we would've seen him jump!" Because the police hadn't even arrived yet and there was no media on the scene, they hadn't even covered it up yet! But then we walked and discussed a little more down the path and just down the road we saw the most beautiful wedding ever!!! It was at the St Mary's church which has like a 5 year waiting list and the bride's dress was so white and beautiful and large and flowing that we could see it from all the way from Hyde park! Finally arriving at the tents, we found out that it was a fundraising event for the AIDs Trust fund, so people were buying wine, food and all sorts of stuff. And so this got me thinking: everything can happen all at the same time. These happy, festive people were oblivious to the dead man just down the street! It just blew my mind at that revalation! I just couldn't get over it!!! I got so depressed over the death and all the happy things being so close to the scene..... But then afterwards while we were walking to the Lindt store, we saw two more beautiful weddings happening and it distracted us for a while to some extent. At the Lindt store, the stuff they had was SUPER rich with chocolate!!! Both my cousins ordered ice mochas, while I ordered a nice hot chocolate. We ordered a small choclate cake to share and we reeeaaalllyyy struggled to finish the puny little thing because of its rich chocolatieness! And because I enjoyed my hot chocolate so much, I bought a tin of it for myself for home.... hehehehe..... and so it was the second time we were all utterly full from eating too much food. I thought my pancreas was gonna die and my veins were going to cause me premature death because of all the rich chocolate. Such a gastronomical day.... we passed by this cute cupcake store on the way to Central station and bought the cutest little cuppycakies!! >.< We bought some for my cousin Aianne who couldn't come because of stuff..... and that also went alongside a copy of the Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e special subbed dvd, a pack of giant Pocky and some Jap lemonade. When we drove back home and gave the gifts to her she was so happy. :D My aunt, grandparents, little brother and little cousins then went to see the Fisher's Ghost Festival fireworks at 9pm, but my legs and feet were too dead tired and sore to go, so my cousins and I stayed back. When my two older cousins left to go home, Aianne immediately started watching the dvd!! She also started drinking the Jap lemonade, but is still having strouble closing it.... the little marble just won't close it!! DX So here I am, at home after the most eventful birthday outing ever.....

...and stop! -rant-

Oh how time flies.... it's the middle of the term and all I want is for these damn exams to stop! The teachers should at least cease their distribution of homework until after these darn tests. Hey, I'm in the school choir and we might be going to China/Beijing next year school holidays (hush, no-ones supposed to know or else we'll have a flood of people wanting to join) and my artist block seems to be lifting because I'm rarely watching TV anymore, giving my creativity more time to express itself. I'm extremely jealous of a senior in my school who's a grade 8 pianist and she can just make up a song there and then about how she feels... isn't that so damn cool?! WYD seems to be getting close, is there anyone here going? Me. When I get a truckload of homework I'm supposed to be working on it all constantly to get it all done right? Wrong. I somehow have a reverse reaction to it all. The more work I get, the more procrastination I do! *coughwhichiswhyI'mrantingherecough* and I still seem to get ALL of my homework, assessments and study done! Oh Perisher... how I will for your date of embarkment to come closer! I hate school when it's too hot.... cold weather is great for school.... especially when it rains really heavily during class.... it's just such a beautiful sound on the roofs. Ah! Champagnat day today! I managed to survive by scabbing 'champs' (form of fake money) from my friends because they all love me... and during the concert afterwards, Mark's band 'Ready, Set, Never' performed a cober for 'City meet the Sea' by I forgot who, but it was sooooo good!!! I really need to catch up on my anime and manga, but I'm already into the Hanazakari Kimi Tachi E Jap live-drama (after reading the manga and am anticipating the Hana Yori Dango movie coming out later this year...) Plus I'm wanting to read the Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles manga, but am in the middle of 5 other manga and 6 other animes which I've yet to complete watching (excluding Bleach and Naruto) plus I'm in need of completing a pile of extremely thick novels.... I watched Princess Mononoke last night and it was way better than I expected! I just love studio Ghibli's works because of how much attention they pay to the background and scenery, but in this movie, all the characters who were of a similar age range all looked the same! and Princess Mononoke looks so much like Haku from Spirited Away! So they pay attention to the scenery and not as much to the actual characters. And one other question to ask.... how do you place pictures in your jounal entry? I've been too lazy to enquire through the FAQ on here, but meh.... if anyone knows, I'll be here........ and stop! -rant-

Ok, so we all know that the Okami contest is on and I just drew an Okami picture... weird or what?! If I actually manage to colour in my sketch, I can enter! Too bad I'm not confident enough in my skills to do that LOL and plus, watercolours seems the best choice.... either that or pencils just like PeralEden does.... but oh my gosh that'll take for ages and I have limited holday time to kill..... oh well, I'll let this chance pass..... maybe....

Re-do?

Sat Mar 15, 2008, 3:28 AM
Ok, so I've gone through my Gallery with my VERY few sketches... even less coloured ones... anyway, I've just finished a re-do of a character name Yumi. Now looking back I seriously puked at how damn badly I drew, anatomy was not a very clear concept in my drawings! So I did her again, just to compare how I drew 3 years ago, to the present day... will be posted soon... I'm so proud of my OC Espada.... it's one of my bestest drawings ever, with the whole 'I made up this outfit' thing going on.... I'm usually not so imaginative...
